Brushwood

Bonnie Brushwood received her BFA from Southwest Texas State University in 1997. The "Literatures" series was developed to meet requirements for her Honors thesis and has had intermittent focus until 2002. Once Bonnie overcame her anxieties about having all thoughts exposed in her work, it became her signature series. Bonnie has enjoyed success with the series, creating commissions for collectors in the Houston and surrounding area. She has shown the Literatures and other works in many alternative spaces in Austin, TX, where she resides.

Bonnie has also played an integral part in building her husband's business, Brian Brushwood: Bizarre Magic. She frequently travels with him as he performs his unique brand of bizarre magic for colleges and corporations coast to coast.
